Any baby Christians out there?

What I discovered is that these people are still infants and baby Christians who need to be mentored and groomed in the Word of God.

I was with a group of people from a certain church which I cannot name recently.

They told me that their ministry does not believe in the use of oil. As an elder and evangelist of the Spirit of Christ Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Dr AN Mabaso, I took some time to teach them what the Scriptures say about anointing oil.

What I discovered is that these people are still infants and baby Christians who need to be mentored and groomed in the Word of God.

Joshua 2:8 says, “Let this book of law not depart from your mouth”, meaning that you must read, study and meditate on the Scriptures, so that you can be well-equipped in the Word of God. Here are a few biblical references on the use of anointing oil.

1. Psalm 23:5 – You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.

2. Psalm 133:2 – It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard. down on the collar of his robe.

3. James 5:14 – Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

4. 1 Samuel 16:13 – Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David to become the king of Israel. Just like a pastor, reverend, apostle etc when he/ she is ordained, anointing oil is used.

5. Matthew 6:17 – When you fast, put anointing oil on your head and wash your face.

6. Matthew 26:6–12 – While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head.

As a post-cross, Bible-believing evangelist, my mandate and assignment on earth is to bring light to those who are in the dark.
