#WisdomWednesday: Why every drop counts …

VIDEO: Considering a reported water supply issue in Toekies, the Herald spoke to Dalene Cilliers, manager of Oasis Randfontein, who shared with us just how precious water is.

The Herald reported earlier this morning (Wednesday, 24 July) about a water supply issue in Toekies.

Elton Smith, a resident of Toekomsrus, said thousands of litres of water are being wasted due to a faulty/ damaged main water line. Smith claimed that since last week Thursday, 18 July, his yard has been filled with water and he fears that the situation might lead to the entire area running out of water.

For this week’s #WisdomWednesday, the Herald spoke to Dalene Cilliers, manager of Oasis Randfontein, who shared with us just how precious water is. She spoke about how people can save and conserve water and how important it is for us all to survive.

We cannot survive without water, so it is very important to alert your local councillors of any leaks or burst pipes, because that could save thousands of liters of water needed by many of us,” Dalene added.
