According to Hendricks, these attacks took place on plots surrounding Randfontein.

Mashego was caught in May 2018‚ after his fourth and final victim fought back‚ biting his finger so hard that he was forced to seek medical treatment. Their paths crossed once more when his victim visited the same clinic at the same time for treatment and pointed him out‚ resulting in his arrest.

He finally pleaded guilty in a High Court sitting at the end of May this year and justice was served when he was sentenced in June.
