AÂ protest due to service delivery is currently underway in Bekkersdal.
Residents are currently marching to the municipal offices in Westonaria, this is due to the fact that electricity has not yet been supplied as promised.

Service delivery Shutdown has just started in Bekkersdal . Tyres have just been set alight and there are whistles been blown all over the township.
The major gripe is the electrification of the informal settlements, which allegedly was supposed to have started 4 months ago.
