Community Health Workers rewarded

Health workers acknowledge for hard work and dedication

The Pillar of Strength has rewarded 32 health workers for their hard work and dedication to serving Randfontein.

The public servants, who are based in various Randfontein clinics such as Randgate, ML Plessen, and Kocksoord, received certificates of recognition that were endorsed by Gauteng Department of Health on Friday, 5 April in Greenhills.

Elliot Koagile and Momotse Mosidi, two of the community health workers that were rewarded.

During the ceremony, Pastor Dinoe Molotsane, founder of the organisation, applauded the workers for their commitment, professionalism, excellence and diligence, saying they had played an important role in the well-being of many.

“Your daily work is to perform a wide range of vital health care procedures in our communities, and by doing so, you have encouraged community members to take charge of their health,” Dinoe said.

The workers were also showered with gift cards and blankets during the ceremony.
