Protest action in the Brandvlei area has made it unsafe for motorists to use the N14. The community is therefore advised to avoid the N14 near Brandvlei.
Reports indicate that protesters have been blocking the road since early this morning. They are burning tyres, throwing stones and preventing vehicles from passing through.

It is not clear yet why they are protesting but authorities are on scene, trying to bring the situation under control.
Road users are urged to find an alternative route for the time being.
