I’m voting Sungate Farms, come the elections

The elections are only a few months away and for sure, my vote goes to Sungate Farms.

After more than two weeks of the filthy smell coming from the corner of Union and Van Deventer Streets, the local council has abandoned its efforts to solve the problem.

A typical answer, ‘We will come back next week’, was the best answer to the problem.

To my surprise, the owners of Sungate Farms arrived with a large number of bags filled with soil and diverted the filthy mess of sewage to a drain less than two metres from the faulty manhole in Union Street.

Needles to say, the spillage is now under control and there is no more smelly water in Union Street.

On behalf of shop owners, residents and especially the ‘vetkoek’ shop on the corner, we all thank Sungate Farms for their excellent plumbing construction work.

The elections are only a few months away and for sure, my vote goes to Sungate Farms.
