Zithande helps 18 NGOs come up with solutions
Zithande Community Empowerment held a networking session with 18 NGOs to discuss common challenges and come up with solutions.
Eighteen non-profit organisations in Mohlakeng engaged in a problem-solving workshop held by Zithande Community Empowerment in Pelzvale on Saturday, 2 February.
According to Lucille Manzi, director of Zithande and coordinator of the session, one of the topics discussed was the challenges facing local NPOs.
Lucille added that the session was a platform for organisations to discuss how they can make a more positive impact in the community, even though their resources are limited.
Under the #2getherwecandomore theme, they aimed at getting the NPOs in Mohlakeng to get acquainted with each other; collaborate on projects; make use of stakeholder referrals within the different organisations; support each other during different projects and assist each other with problem-solving.”
Lucille added that the workshop was facilitated by Jane Mananiso, who helped the NPOs to identify common challenges and come up with solutions.
