Why not shine online?

Just think about it, once a week you have the chance to shine online.

Why not let your voice be heard, introduce yourself to the public, share educational and interesting information with the rest of the town, go back in time or be the weatherman?

As many of you already may know, the Herald has for some time presented five unique online features on a weekly basis that we would love the residents of Randfontein and Westonaria to be part of.

The five online features are:

1. #MunicipalMonday: Is the municipality/ council ignoring you? Do you have something deep down inside that’s been bothering you? Why not share your municipal issue with us and let your voice be heard.

2. #TeinerTuesday: This is where anyone in Rand West City will have the opportunity to introduce him- or herself. Just think, who is that Oom or Tannie, security guard, neighbour, police officer, teacher, etc living down the road from you? Nominating someone is also welcomed.

3. #WisdomWednesday: This is an informative piece and can be on any subject. It will change week by week depending on the topic. Do you perhaps have a DIY idea, cake recipe or how to do your tax return hint to share?

4. #ThrowbackThursday: The Herald will identify something that happened in the past, get that person/ persons behind a camera and have a conversation – basically going back in time. How interesting! Once again, nominating someone or something is welcomed.

5. #ForecastFriday: Last week, I went behind the camera to provide the weather forecast for the weekend and Monday. Next up are my journalists, and then ‘celebrities’ in town will be asked to read the forecast. How much fun is that?!

Just think about it, once a week you have the chance to shine online. Approach us by emailing me at randfonteinherald@caxton.co.za or contact us on 011 693 3671. Just remember that we will need you to record a video with one of our journalists.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Editor, over and out!
