PHOTOS: All smiles for Rem’s 2019 Grade 1s

Not a single tear was shed among the new Grade 1 learners of Randfontein Primary School (Rem) on their first day of school.

All smiles and not a single tear was shed among the new Grade 1 learners of Randfontein Primary School (Rem) on their first day of school.

The learners were dressed for success and ready to begin the new academic year.

By 9am on Wednesday morning, 9 January, the teachers at the school had already memorised the names of the new Grade 1s, calling them as though they have been in their class for a month.

Sitting at their desks with a pencil, a crayon and piece of sheet to be coloured-in, each learner waited eagerly for the teacher to give instructions.
