A mother, her two children and the painter working on the premises, were held at gunpoint during a home invasion in Brandberg Street, Peacehaven (next to Kocksoord) recently.
Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, said a case of house robbery is being investigated and confirmed that the incident took place at about 5.10pm on Friday, 7 December.

“It was alleged by the 44-year-old female victim that she was at home with her two children and one man who was busy painting her house when an unknown man entered the house.
Three other unknown men entered and threatened them with firearms, instructing them to lie down. The suspects took cords to tie the victims’ hands.
“They disconnected the TV set and took it, plus a laptop, clothes, shoes, cellphones, a handbag containing the victim’s identity document, driver’s licence, and a wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money and her motor vehicle, a silver Ford Fiesta with registration number FK 78 YG GP together with the house keys.
“The suspects fled the scene in a red Corsa Lite hatchback with an unknown registration number. No one was injured during the incident,” Hendricks added.

Colonel Matshidiso Filita, acting Randfontein Police station commander has urged the public to come forward with information that may lead to the arrest of these suspects, and pleads with the community to report those who buy and sell stolen property.
“It is a criminal offence to buy stolen property,” Filita said.
