Entertainment to raise funds

Food parcels will be handed over on 15 December

The Buffalo Ranch raised funds for the NG Welfare Organisation,on Sunday, 25 November when various famous artists, among them Clive Bruce, Barbara Ray and Tommy Dell, came together to entertain the residents of Randfontein.

Ronnie Kotze, Michelle van der Merwe and Susan Smit about to take to the stage.

Coordinator of the fundraiser and manager of the Buffalo Ranch, Johan van Wyk, said people came out in numbers, not only to enjoy the entertainment, but also to show their commitment to those who are in need.

“We are doing this because the welfare organisation is really in need of things such as food supplies,” Johan said.
He said funds raised from the show will be used to provide 110 food parcels for the organisation on 15 December.

Barbara Ray, Tommy Dell and Sally Vaughn at the fundraiser.

“Each parcel will contain items such as cooking oil, sugar, tea, tins of food, frozen foods, soft drinks, chips and more.

It will be an honour for us to do this big handover on that day. We also want the public to know that whenever they have any fund-raising events, or hear about a place that needs help with regard to fundraising, we are willing to help with the venue for free, as long as it’s for charitable purposes, because we believe we have more than enough to be able to share,” Johan added.

Clive Bruce entertains the crowd.
