#ThrowbackThursday – 21 November 1986

The Herald goes back, way back, to 21 November 1986 for this week’s #ThrowbackThursday.

It’s Throwback Thursday and the Herald went back in time to 21 November 1986, when the front page story was headlined ‘Tonight’s the Night’.

This was finally the time when beauty queens of Randfontein were going to battle out for the Mrs Randfontein 1986 title at the Mayor’s Parlour.

The Herald reported at the time that it was also in aid of the joint fund named Project Safety Child, created by the mayor and the Herald to help bring about a safer environment for the town’s nursery school children.

The Herald also reported that tickets to the show were selling for R5.
