Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #89 – Bev Pita
The 89th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces herself.
Meet our ‘Teiner of the Week, 60-year-old Bev Pita who works at one of Randfontein’s butcheries.
Bev has lived in Randfontein for 31 years and raised both her children here.
“I now work at Tony’s Meat Market, where I get to meet all the people from the community. Everybody knows everybody else and cares for each other, that’s why I love this town,” she said.
Bev’s biggest passion in life is her family. When she’s not working, she loves to spend quality time with her grandchildren. She is the proud grandmother of five very smart grandchildren.
“All of my children used to live in Randfontein but two recently immigrated to Dubai. The other three come to visit me in my office every day and the time I get to spend with them is the highlight of my day.”
