Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #85 – Zainab Patel
The 85th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces herself.
Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the week, Zainab Patal, whose passion is being a mother.
Originally from Cape Town, Zainab put down her roots in Randfontein after marrying a local.
“When my first son was born, I quit my job in financing because there was a lot of travelling involved and I didn’t get to spend much time at home,” she said.
The 29-year-old is now a mother of two busy boys and spends her days at home or at her husband’s business, a local toy and cycle shop.
“In the mornings, I spend some time with the boys and we play outside. In the afternoon, we come to daddy’s shop where they keep themselves busy with some of the toys, while I give him some advice from a business perspective. Our family is a team.”
Although she is a stay-at-home mother, her boys and her husband keep her busy; however, she loves them and they are the light of her life.
