Gauteng learners invited to enter poster challenge

Children will stand a chance to win amazing prizes in three categories

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) has invited all Gauteng Primary School to show their support for animal welfare by entering the AACL Johannesburg Annual Poster Challenge for 2018.

According to Johann Steenkamp, Education Officer at AACL, “Ram and Randfontein Primary are always tops in the competition and have taken many first prizes and merit prizes over the 20 years this competition has been running”.

Participants are invited to enter the challenge as follows:

Draw/ paint a picture showing ways in which people are compassionate and kind to animals, care for them, and touch their lives in helpful ways.

“Remember it’s not all about a pretty picture, but a picture with a message! A slogan or title may also help in making your message clear. A good poster grabs the attention!” AACL said.

Those who want to participate can enter for the following categories and prizes:

Category 1:Grades 1 and 2: First place prize – R2 000

Category 2: Grades 3, 4 and 5: First place prize – R2 000

Category 3: Grades 6 and 7: First place prize – R2 000

School prize: The school with the top donation will win a CANON Laser Multi-functional printer valued at R10 000.

Each category also has stacks of merit prizes from Animal Talk magazine, Canon, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Cartoon Candy, Dean’s Stationers, Bob Martin, Art jamming, PVM Nutritional Sciences, Oh Crumbs and Roll-Egoli Roller Rink.

All participants are to include the following details when they enter:

Your name and surname; age; grade, entry category; school’s name, email; telephone number and parents’ telephone numbers.
