What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here’s what’s happening in the sporting world on 25 and 26 August.

The Herald has compiled a list of some must-see sporting action to be broadcast on television on Saturday, 25 August and Sunday, 26 August.

SATURDAY, 25 AUGUST:

• Rugby:

Round 2 of the Rugby Championship kicks off in New Zealand at 9.25am, when the All Blacks welcome the Wallabies at their fortress, Eden Park. The Boks will be in action at 9pm only, when they play Argentina away from home

Other rugby action not to miss out on includes the Mitre 10 Cup (New Zealand’s domestic rugby competition) from 6.30am between Waikato and North Harbour. Then tune in at 2.55pm when the Sharks and Blue Bulls lock horns, followed by Western Province and Cheetahs at 5pm – both mouthwatering Currie Cup clashes

• Football:

Tune in from 1.20pm for some Round 3 action in the 2018/ 19 English Premier League

If that doesn’t tick all the boxes for you, try the following …

• UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Elite Women and Men (cycling) at 12.30pm and 2pm respectively

• Four men’s and women’s teams in action in the Premier Hockey League (PHL) (hockey) from 9.45am until 6pm

• Qualifying of the British MotoGP (motorsport) from 2.55pm

• Qualifying of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix (motorsport) also from 2.55pm

SUNDAY, 26 AUGUST:

• Football:

An SA football clash not to miss is SuperSport United against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 semi-final 1st leg at 2.55pm

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, try the following …

• British MotoGP main race (motorsport) from 1.55pm

• Formula One Belgian Grand Prix main race (motorsport) from 3pm

• Montpellier against Castres in the Top 14 (rugby) at 5pm

• Knockouts of the Premier Hockey League (PHL) (hockey) from 9.45am until 6.15pm

• Red Bull Air Race (aviation) from 12noon

• Varsity Netball action between Maties and VUT followed by Madibaz and UWC (netball) at 4.15pm and 5.55pm respectively

• Pride against Magic in the Basketball National League (BNL) (basketball) from 12noon

• The Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) World Challenge Cup (rhythmic gymnastics) from 11am
