#BeatBolt in the 100m sprint and win big

Not only will the FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN give you the chance to see iconic landmarks, the winner of the #BeatBolt 100m sprint will win a PUMA voucher worth R10 000.

The exciting #ForeverFaster PUMA #BeatBolt sprint will be the source of much excitement and #FastTimes at the FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN on Heritage Day (Monday, 24 September).

According to Brett Bellinger, Marketing Director of PUMA South Africa, the Beat Bolt sprint has been a hit in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

“We’re excited to give Joburg residents another chance to #BeatBolt,” he said.

“Runners will need to give their all over a 100m sprint. This section of the route will be timed. The runner (male and female) to clock the fastest time over the 100m will take home a PUMA shopping voucher to the value of R10 000,” Brett said.

Additional PUMA prizes up for grabs:

• Under 15 seconds for 100m: 30 per cent discount on a purchase at the PUMA store

• Under 20 seconds for 100m: 20 per cent discount on a purchase at the PUMA store

• Under 25 seconds for 100m: 15 per cent discount on a purchase at the PUMA store

The #ForeverFaster PUMA #BeatBolt sprint will be stationed in the region of the 8,6km mark in Ameshoff Street.

“With such an impressive prize incentive, be sure to make this the fastest 100m of your life. All runners will be notified of their 100m sprint times via SMS after the race,” Brett added.

Starting in front of FNB Bank City, runners and walkers will be treated to a 10km route experience that will highlight iconic landmarks and feature live performances by a host of Joburg’s leading performing arts groups. Iconic landmarks to look out for will include the Nelson Mandela Bridge, FNB Bank City, Constitution Hill, Mary Fitzgerald Square, Wits University and Ellis Park Stadium to mention just a few.

When entering online, runners can choose to support one or all three of the event’s charities namely the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation, the Johannesburg SPCA and the Reach For A Dream Foundation.
