Donate books for kids less fortunate with West Pack Lifestyle

Join West Pack Lifestyle's drive to donate books to schools.

To celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 100-year birthday, which happens to fall on West Pack Lifestyle’s 10-year birthday, the retail group and Caxton Local Media are planning something extra special – and we need your help!

In a statement, The Nelson Mandela Foundation calls on all South Africans to reflect on our past, engage in the present and imagine the future the way we would want to see it. In our future, we imagine a world where children have access to important educational tools, such as books.

West Pack Lifestyle will be donating 10 000 books to be shared among 10 local charities. The charities will be vetted and chosen by Caxton’s community editors. On 18 July, each of the chosen charities will receive new books from West Pack Lifestyle and its partner, Butterfly Stationery.

But that’s not all.

Caxton Local Media and West Pack Lifestyle want to do more with you. Community members are encouraged to help celebrate Mandela’s legacy by contributing to this initiative and donating any books, new or previously loved. Should community members match or exceed West Pack Lifestyle’s 10 000 book donation, the retail group will spread the love and donate to more charities in need across South Africa.

If you know a charity or school in need tell us about them! You can send a letter to our editor or connect with Caxton and West Pack Lifestyle on Facebook to have your nomination read.

Community members can also drop off their donations at any West Pack Lifestyle or West Pack Express store in South Africa. Donations are to be dropped off by no later than 18 July 2018.

A full list of store locations can be found on https://www.westpacklifestyle.co.za.
