Two injured as car rolls on the R500

Two people were injured, one seriously, when a bakkie rolled on the R500 in Carletonville yesterday.

Two people were injured, one seriously, when a bakkie rolled on the R500 in Carletonville yesterday morning (31 May).

“When ER24 arrived at the scene just before 8am, they found both men lying in the field outside the bakkie. It is believed that bystanders pulled them from the vehicle,” said Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 spokesperson.

Van Huyssteen said that paramedics discovered that one of them had sustained serious injuries, while the other suffered moderate injuries.

“ER24 and other emergency services transported the victims to hospital for further medical care. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known,” Van Huyssteen added.
