Restrictive hours at bird park bothers me

We’ve been waiting for a very long time for the revamped bird sanctuary to be opened and finally towards the end of last year, it opened to the public.

We had a look around a few days after opening, but there was no information readily available about what was planned for the site. A few days ago, I drove past and saw now that it has opening hours posted on the gate, but it’s only open on weekdays and closes very early.

Is there any way the Herald could put pressure on the municipality/ local government to open for longer and on weekends?

I’m sure they have hardly any visitors as most people work and families could only go there on the weekend. I think it’s a waste of money for them to have such restrictive hours.

One of these days they will close it, and use the excuse no one uses the facility.

Could you investigate and maybe give us a follow-up story in the Herald?
