Little Angels show support for Tekkie Tax day

It was all about wearing stickers and colourful shoelaces, as well as throwing shimmering confetti in the air, all in the name of Tekkie Tax Day at Little Angels.

Little Angels Daycare did their part to support the national Tekkie Tax Day initiative on Friday, 25 May.

The project is supported by thousands of people, companies, NGOs and schools.

Kaylynn Hauptfleish, Chevonne Buitendag and Bonolo Mofokeng.

According to Chevonne Buitendag, principal of the school, the little ones wore their stickers and colourful shoelaces. Some even went the extra mile and got shimmering confetti that popped out of a box almost like champagne. The noise woke those that weren’t already awake and the children enjoyed it very much.

Dwayne Smit also took part in Tekkie Tax day.

Because of the excitement, employees had their hands full, but they also had a chance to have fun with the confetti.

The children really enjoyed the day – something they will not forget very soon,” Chevonne said.

The first Tekkie Tax campaign took place in 2013 and R2,4 million was raised. Since its inception, the campaign has raised an outstanding R30,5 million. After the annual audit in October, all proceeds are distributed to various NGOs.
