Five injured in late-night Westonaria crash
A collision between a bakkie and light motor vehicle left five people injured in Westonaria on Wednesday night.
Five people were injured on Wednesday night, 4 April, in a collision between a bakkie and a light motor vehicle at the intersection of Edwards Avenue and the R28 in Westonaria.
Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, said ER24 paramedics, along with provincial services arrived on the scene shortly after 8pm and found both vehicles in the middle of the intersection.

“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that the four people who had been on the back of the bakkie had been injured. One person from the light motor vehicle had also been injured. Assessments showed that the injuries sustained ranged from minor to moderate.
“Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
