One killed, seven injured in W’aria crash
Weekend crash leaves one dead and seven others injured when bakkie rolls in Westonaria.
A man was killed in accident at the intersection of Edwards Avenue and the R28 in Westonaria, on Saturday, 24 March when a bakkie rolled shortly before 6am.
Seven other passengers also sustained injuries, ranging from minor to moderate.

The deceased, who was found by the paramedics lying a few metres from the wrecked bakkie, was declared dead on scene, after sustaining fatal injuries in the crash.
“One of the injured passengers later refused transportation to hospital. However, ER24, and the Provincial EMS transported the remaining patients to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known to our paramedics,” said Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24’s spokesperson.
