What’s in a cigarette?

Here are some harsh facts about what a cigarette really contains ...

You see it on every cigarette packet – Smoking causes cancer, smoking causes heart disease, don’t smoke while you are pregnant … but yet we do.

Some of the ingredients of cigarettes are acetone (a paint stripper); ammonia (a toilet cleaner); arsenic (rat poison); butane (lighter fluid); carbon monoxide (exhaust fumes); naphthalene (mothballs), and phenol (a disinfectant)

Tobacco use is responsible for one in ten deaths worldwide. Another important fact is that smoking a hubbly bubbly is not a safer alternative to tobacco use, as it contains 36 times more tar and eight times more carbon monoxide than just one cigarette. Also, low tar, mild, and light cigarettes are misleading terms, as they are still harmful to your health.

Some of the many health problems from smoking include strokes, heart attacks, emphysema and impotence.

Next time you light up … think of these shocking facts.
