Beauty queens to go head-to-head on catwalk

Beauty queens will be going all out to outdo each other on the catwalk in the much-anticipated Miss Kitty Beauty and Miss JC Foundation competitions at the Carletonville Civic Centre on Saturday, 14 April.
According to Portia Khuzwayo, the pageant coordinator, there are big prizes to be won.
“The first prize winner of Miss Kitty Beauty, in which girls aged between six and nine years will be competing, will walk away with R1 500 and holiday accommodation for two. The second runner-up will get R500 and be pampered with gifts and accessories, and R300 and a gift will be given to the third runner-up.
“In the Miss JC Foundation competition, for girls aged between 10 and 16 years, the overall winner will get a laptop valued at R3 500 and holiday accommodation for two. The second runner-up will walk away with R1 500 and a spa treatment. R500 will be awarded to the third runner-up. Entry to the venue is R50. The beauty pageants will be presented by the Jesus Christ Foundation.”
The event starts at 11am and ends at 4pm.
