Local model heads to the US for her modeling dreams

She made it through the second leg of the competition held in Silverstar in Krugersdorp.

An opportunity of a lifetime is within the grasp of a young model, who says the only thing she needs is South Africa to back her, as she prepares to go shine in the US.

15-year-old Itumeleng Morianyane of Westonaria said the only thing that can hold her back from her dreams is the funding for her trip in July. She said all her hopes are pinned on the South Africans to help raise R 150 000, to make it to the finals of International Arts Talent Showcase, in Orlando, Florida.

This follows her victory of her national model competition under the same banner in October 2017, held in Silverstar, in Krugersdorp.

“This is something that I truly wanted to do all my life and I am very happy with this opportunity. Having to have made to the second leg of the competition was amazing, I am happy that I have made it this far,” Morianyane said.

She says for her to be able to pursue her dreams she will need South Africans not only to root for her, but to give a helping hand.

“All I need is the help of the nation in order for me to pursue this dream,” she said.
Morianyane said even though she has mixed feelings about the upcoming event, she said she is very grateful to have chance at something that could change her life and benefit others.

Winning the final leg will open up a lot for her as she plans to give back to the community, by uplifting less fortunate people

“I want to see myself helping others children who are orphaned and those who are living in poverty. This is simply because I want to change the lives of many people who are trapped in poverty for the better. I am happy that I have made it to the finals and heading to the final step of the final audition.”
