What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here's what's happening in the sporting world this weekend.

The Herald has compiled a list of some of the must-see sporting events that will be screened on television from today, Saturday, 20 January, until Sunday, 21 January.

SATURDAY, 20 JANUARY

Rugby:

• Round 12 of the Guiness Pro14 will see the Cheetahs and Southern Kings lock horns again, this time in Bloemfontein. Kick-off is at 5pm. Scarlets and Toulon will also take each other on later at 7.30pm in a European Rugby Champions Cup Round 6 clash.

Cricket:

• If you are an early bird, don’t miss the Baby Proteas (South Africa) taking on New Zealand in the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup. Play starts at 2.45am. Australian Big Bash cricket lovers can also tune in at 9am and again at noon for two clashes, namely Melbourne Stars vs Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers vs Hobart Hurricanes.

Football:

• Three South African sides will go head-to-head as the ABSA Premiership continues. Matches not to miss include an all-out Mother City battle between Cape Town City and Ajax Cape Town, from 3pm; Mamelodi Sundowns vs Platinum Stars from 5.30pm, and Orlando Pirates vs Polokwane City from 8pm.

Tennis:

• The Australian Open Round 6 starts at 2am and continues until 4pm.

SUNDAY, 21 JANUARY

Cricket:

• Catch the Dolphins and Multiply Titans in the Momentum One-Day Cup with the first ball bowled at 9.30am, while Australia and England continue their rivalry in the third One-Day International from 5am. Our neighbours, Zimbabwe, will feature from 7.45am against Sri Lanka in the fourth One-Day International of the Triangular Series in Bangladesh.

Tennis:

• The Australian Open Round 7 starts at 2am and continues until 4pm.
