Avante’s big day for little stars

Excitement was in the air when the Grade 1s entered the hall.

Avante Primary School was buzzing yesterday morning, 16 January, when 210 Grade 1 learners started a new chapter in their lives.

The little ones got a warm welcome from the Avante Primary School staff. Excitement was in the air as teachers were busy organising the little ones into their different classes.

Very few learners looked nervous – they were mostly smiling and some of them immediately started making friends. Only three of them were a little teary, but soon the tears stopped.

Xuiswa Velskoen said that she is very excited about her child going to school, while Bafedile Shenxane was comforting her son.
