The infamous Zuurbekom Road was the scene of yet another hijacking on 10 June.

This after the 55-year old truck driver was forced to a stop by five men in a black VW Golf at approximately 10am.

One of the men produced a firearm and pointed it at the truck driver while one of his accomplices tied his hands together.

The suspects forced the truck driver into their vehicle and dropped him off some time later on the N12 near Protea.

According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst, the truck, with registration number VTC 060 GP, and its cargo is still missing.

Anyone with any information about this case or about the whereabouts of the truck, is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Mushwana at Lenasia VIS.
