Yes, you will be arrested for starting a veld fire
Randfontein Police Chief: People who are found starting a fire, especially in this dry season, will have to face the full force of the law.
The Randfontein Police have warned residents about the repercussions of starting a veld fire and said that you will face the full force of the law should you decide to start such a fire.
This after a 40-year-old man was arrested shortly after a veld fire destroyed grazing areas in the Middelvlei vicinity one Tuesday in August.
