Two ATMs were bombed in the early hours of Tuesday, 25 July, in Glenharvie.
Although the Westonaria Police are yet to release an official statement, it has been said the first bombing took place at about 11 minutes after midnight, at a bank situated at Kloof Mine. It was followed by a second bombing at about 1.22am at a supermarket in Smouspoort Street.

Johan Krogh, EPR West Rand’s General Manager confirmed they attended to both bombings.

According to Krogh, EPR received an alarm signal and arrived at the second bomb-scene in Smouspoort Street. The EPR Response Unit noticed three individuals running from the scene. They managed to get away.
Undetonated explosives were also found on the scene.
“Be careful and mindful of suspicious activity and persons when approaching an ATM, especially at night or in the early morning,” Krogh warned.
The Herald is waiting for official comment from the Westonaria Police.
