Warrant Officer Raymond Sebanyane, the new spokesperson for the Westonaria Police.

Sebanyane started in his new position on 24 February, and is already getting into the swing of things. He previously worked at the Bekkersdal Police Station, as the fleet manager, and then moved on to work in the Customer Care Centre at the Westonaria Police Station.

When the position of spokesperson fell vacant, he applied, and landed the post. He is very excited about it. “There are still lots of new things to get used to, but I am enjoying it thus far,” he said.

Sebanyane said, about the crime in the area, that on his first day as spokesperson there were two hijackings on the N12. ” Hijacking on that road is a big problem in our area, and it is very worrying,” he said.
