Theft and break-ins rampant pre-silly season

Crimes such as theft and break-ins are becoming more and more frequent in Randfontein.

EPR Security has proven to be busy with the Festive Season just weeks away.

The organisation has released various crime reports for the period from Friday, 4 to Tuesday, 8 November.

The most frequent crimes committed during this period were theft and break-ins, with seven incidents of theft being reported.

In addition, there were five attempted thefts reported, and five break-ins in the Randfontein and Westonaria sections of the Rand West City Local Municipality.

4 to 6 November

Randfontein:

• Attempted theft – Elandsvlei Agricultural Holdings (AH)
• Attempted robbery – Main Reef Road, Central Business District (CBD)
• Attempted theft – Percheron Street, Greenhills• Break-in – Bussing Street, Aureus
• Break-in – Hillside AH
• Break-in – R28, Mohlakeng
• Damage to property – Hospital Street, Robin Park
• Damage to property – Hospital Street, Robin Park
• Damage to property – Kenneth Avenue, Greenhills
• Domestic violence – Geldenhuys Street, Randpoort
