Experience the pageant with purpose

OT Photography Atelier has come up with an initiative that is actively engaging with the West Rand youth of all shapes, sizes and race between the ages of 14 and 19.

They saw the need to host a Pageant with Purpose rather than a typical pageant. This event will take place at the Mogale City Centenary Hall (Krugersdorp Town Hall) on 23 October at 12pm.

Categories for the main event will include casual wear, sportswear, recyclable material wear, all-white fusion with Dashiki fabric wear, beachwear, traditional wear and formal wear.

“We have realised that a lot of pageants hosted in Mogale City and neighbouring areas have been classified or hosted entirely as entertainment events and with us this is not the case.

To us pageantry is more about education rather that beauty, purpose rather than entertainment, and passion rather than hobby,” said Obakeng Tsime, Motion designer and digital photographer.

Mr and Miss OT Teen 2016/2017 finalists have been mentored and advised by professionals on numerous topics, which will enable them to be the best possible ambassadors of their peers and communities.

Neliswa Mustuenyane, image coach from Suennel Style has mentored and coached them in various topics such as power dressing, how to brand yourself on social media, public speaking skills, developing personal style and body language and presentation.
