Greenhills Circle soon to be pothole-free

A local business has once again stepped up to the plate.

The Greenhills Circle parking lot is once again under construction in a bid to make the circle pothole-free, to the benefit of the area’s customers.

The Greenhills Bluebottle Liquors outlet, which forms part of the Bluebottle Liquors Group has embarked on the second phase of upgrading the shopping complex’s parking lot.

According to Solly Mogale, one of the workers busy with the parking lot upgrade, construction started on Wednesday, 10 August and he predicts that they will be finished on Tuesday, 15 August.

“We’re tarring then, so we should be done on Tuesday,” Solly said.

Bluebottle Liquors executed the first phase of the upgrade in June this year when the parking area opposite Tony’s Meat Market was retarred and the paving stones around the Circle’s trees were repainted.

The upgrades have occurred mainly because of the construction of a new mall, which could make or break local small businesses, but also to benefit customers.

The previous councillor for the area, Evert du Plessis, said he was pleased when the initial upgrade was done as it showed absolute public participation which is something the old Randfontein Local Municipality was trying to foster in its residents.

During the last upgrade, Manuel Pereira, the Inland Managing Director of the Bluebottle Liquors Group, called on other businesses in the Circle and elsewhere in town to do their part in making their respective areas something they can be proud of and something their customers will appreciate.
