Suspected burglars arrested with domestic’s help

When the owner and EPR searched the premises, the suspects jumped over the wall.

A pair of suspected burglars was arrested by EPR Security at a house in Belladonna Street, Greenhills on Tuesday afternoon, 5 April.

Johan Krogh, general manager of EPR said at around 12.04pm they received a call from a client that two suspects were busy entering her yard.

“EPR reaction officers immediately responded.

On scene it was confirmed the suspects had lifted the gate off its rail and entered the premises.

“The owner and EPR searched the premises and the suspects jumped over the wall.”

Krogh said with a good description of their clothing, two EPR reaction officers, Riaan Oberholzer en Juandre Harding chased the suspects and eventually caught them in Aloe Street.

The two suspects were arrested and the domestic worker identified them as the suspects who had lifted the gate and entered the premises.

The suspects were handed over to police.
