Assault victim dies in hospital
Police: We urge witnesses to come forward with info that might assist in murder case.
A 50-year-old man who was brutally assaulted a day after Christmas has died in hospital.
The Randfontein Police are now urging witnesses to come forward with information that might assist in the murder investigation.
“It is alleged the man who resided in the Zenzele area was brutally assaulted on Saturday, 26 December 2015 by unknown persons in the Vleikop area.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment but he succumbed to his injuries last Monday.
Any person who might be able to assist in the investigation are requested to contact the investigating officer, warrant officer Bongani Mpete on 011 278-8100. Information will be treated with the necessary confidentiality.
