Hartzriver Street in Toekomsrus had it’s tar lifted off the surface of the road as a result of this past weekend’s storm.
The road also was severely flooded.
Mduduzi Mthethwa, a second year journalism and media studies student caught the incident on camera.
“Heavy rain caused heavy disasters,” is what Mthewthwa called the images.
The town also was hit by heavy a heavy hailstorm on Saturday. The hail stones that fell were as big as mothballs and covered the town’s streets in a slippery white blanket.
