Man, 20, arrested for stolen geyser

Police: We found a 100 litre silver geyser suspected to be stolen.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for being in possession of a stolen 100 litre geyser, Westonaria Police said.

Captain Siphiwe Ndlovu, spokesperson for the Westonaria Police confirmed the young man was arrested at around 3.40pm on Tuesday in Crean Street.

“While patrolling the area, Constable Simphiwe Dube and Constable Boitumelo Motswadi spotted a suspicious white Nissan van without registration plates. The police ordered the driver to stop the vehicle.

The police then searched the driver and the vehicle where they found a 100 litre silver geyser suspected to be stolen.”

The suspect was arrested and will appear in court on Friday, 11 December.
