Former journalist’s relative dies in crash

The girl is believed to have died on impact.

A child tragically lost her life in a freak accident in Hillside this morning (14 October) after a car allegedly had crashed into a bus stop.

It is alleged two cars collided at an intersection and one of the cars was rammed into the bus stop where an unknown number of children were waiting at the bus stop.

One of the children believed to be killed in the collision was former Herald journalist Nonkululeko (Mabli) Mathebula’s sister. She allegedly died on impact.

Comment is awaited from Randfontein Police regarding the incident.
