The good people of the city, led by ‘Mayor Hans von Tipplestein’, (more widely known as popular local comedian and actor, Brendan Murray)were treated like Bavarian royalty as organisers once again pulled out all the stops to deliver a First-Klaus party experience – along with a range ofcrowd-participatory activities as the ‘Tapping of the Keg’, the ‘Mass-Heben Competition’ and the ‘Snuff Cannon’ and the inevitable ‘Best-Dressed’ competition.
