Good luck matrics!

WRDM Mayor: These results will influence their whole life going forward

Mpho Nawa, West Rand District Municipality Executive Mayor extended her well-wishes to all pupils, educators and parents for the upcoming examinations.

“All pupils are approaching the period of final exams for 2015. My thoughts are in particular with the pupils preparing for matric exams. These few months are such an important time in a Grade 12’s life. Matriculants are about to have their entire school career assessed and now should be reviewing and summarising their knowledge.

They must take this time of reviewing very serious so that when they write exams, they will feel they have done their best. Pupils must be honest and must not endanger their future by embarking on illegal activities. Pupils are responsible for themselves, their school and family. To ensure better results, all possible effort is required and these results will influence their whole life going forward.

“If your best effort does not get you a pass, keep on trying. There is always a second chance. A big thank you goes to the educators and parents who support these pupils in their studies,” Nawa said.

She also quoted former President Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. I wish you every blessing to be successful in further studies and your role in the future of our beloved country.”
