Rand View College rewards its best

With a 100 per cent pass rate in 2013 and 2014 the college surely is reaching their goal

Rand View College recently hosted their third term academical awards ceremony rewarding Grade 1s up to Grade 12 pupils.

Doreen Mbeiza, vice principal of the college explained to the Herald, “Certificates were issued to each pupil who performed extremely well in various subjects for each grade. We also had the best student award of each grade.”

Rand View College’s mission states,

To promote high quality education and self worth among our college community, quality performers among pupils and staff. With the purpose of producing responsible citizens who will meaningfully participate in the economic and social transformation of the nation.”

With a 100 per cent pass rate in 2013 and 2014 the college surely is reaching their goal. The awards were handed to the pupils by the Director of the school, Ramadhan Mugumbi.

The following pupils received awards:

• Grade 8: Lechuti Olive ( Maths and Creative art), Machete Mamello (Life orientation), Choonara Ebrahim (Natural Science), Matlatle Palesa (Creative arts and Natural Science).

• Grade 9: Mtukwane Phumlani (Xhosa), Klein Aston (English), Montsi Kananelo (Setswana).

• Grade 10: Ngoako Mmapula (English, Physical Science), Mapasa Zintle (Xhosa).

• Grade 11: Mtsali Sihle (English, History, Life Orientation), Mtshake Xolisa (Xhosa), Canham Jordon (English), Maepe Hope (Setswana).

• Grade 12: Phosa Anton (Tourism), Hlatshwayo Mphikeleli (Life Science), Tlokana Desio ( Business studies), Kanyoli Rodney (Business studies, Economics), Mophasa Elia (Setswana), Hoshela Tuduetso (Life Orientation).
