Man critical after being shot

The cause of the shooting is not yet known – ER24.

A man in his 40s is in a critical condition after he sustained a gunshot wound on the R24 in Tarlton over the weekend.

According to Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, “When paramedics got on scene, they found the man laying outside on the pavement near a local tavern. The man had sustained a wound to his abdomen.

ER24 paramedics began advanced life support treatment and once treated, the patient was airlifted to the Baragwanath Hospital for treatment.

“The cause of the shooting is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
