Police arrest 224 suspects in one week
'Every perpetrator causing havoc through crime will be brought to justice' – Police
The Krugersdorp cluster, which now includes Randfontein, made 224 arrests in the past week, of which 82 were executed over the past weekend.
Cluster Commander, Major General Anna Mateisi, mentioned the following breakthroughs achieved by the police in the cluster:
• 5 arrests for murder were made during the past week in the cluster
• 21 suspects were arrested for drunken driving during the weekend operations
• 31 drug arrests were made
• Other arrests that were executed include crimes such as illegal mining, housebreaking, theft, fraud and assault.
Major General Mateisi, assures the Krugersdorp Cluster residents that every perpetrator causing havoc through crime will be brought to justice.
