Football Club cleans school
Club that recently received a helping hand decides to give back to community on Mandela Day.
Kocksoord Football Club (FC) had their Mandela Day celebration at Avanté Primary School where they cleaned the sports grounds for the new term.
Patrick Selogiloe, secretary and treasurer of Kocksoord FC said, “We decided on cleaning the grounds because the team uses the grounds for soccer matches and practices.
It was to show appreciation to the school since we also use the field. The unfortunate part was that only one team member responded to my call,” Patrick said.
Tshepo Mokoena was the only player that responded to Patrick’s call for assistance together with Refiloe Selogiloe, Patrick’s daughter. Between the three of them, they filled a whopping 10 bags with rubbish from the school’s sports field.
The football club recently received kit and soccer equipment donated by a local company and this time they decided to give the community a helping hand just like the company has given them one.
