Greenhills Estate under attack? Police respond

No burglar bars in front of sliding doors – Police

Greenhills Estate residents recently voiced their concerns regarding constant break-ins.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst responded saying, “Cases of these break-ins have been reported to the station, but the police can at this stage not comment on specific cases because of outstanding case numbers which they need, to be able to give feedback on.

Most of these break-ins happen when robbers gets in via the sliding doors, where they simply lift the door of it’s tracks. There are no burglar bars in front of the sliding doors.”

Ernst continued, “The complex has 24-hour access control and all cases reported gets attended to.”
