Fire in Hillside spreads to paintball range

A fire which occurred in Hillside recently caused quite a stir.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage but it is believed to have spread as a result of a veld fire in the area.

The fire spread all the way to the paintball range in Hillside. The tyres located on the business’ premises burned resulting in even more smoke than a usual fire.

According to Louis van Wyk, designated medic for the sector 5(3) neighbourhood watch, “The fire was pretty bad but there was a good response from CPF in contacting fire trucks so quickly.  

There were four sector 5(3) people on scene.  No injuries were reported.”

Local fire authorities were also reported to be on scene.
