Woman killed, three injured when car rolls
'It is believed she was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.'
A woman was killed and three others injured when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned on Wedela Road in Carletonville early on Sunday.
According to ER 24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak, “At approximately 5.30am paramedics arrived on the scene where they found a vehicle lying on its roof. Three occupants, a woman and two men, were found with moderate injuries on the scene.
“They were treated and later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. A woman, believed to be in her twenties, was found a few meters away from the vehicle.
She sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing that paramedics could do for her. She was declared dead on the scene. It is believed she was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.”
The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the incident and will conduct an investigation.
